“YOU ARE ALIVE!” If you’re going to live, why wait to live your life with purpose and passion? Do it now!
It seems that the more life I experience, the more I realize how fragile life is. I just received news that a 20 year old friend, who was a part of our previous church just had an aneurism and is in critical condition. This young guy was healthy and athletic, yet today his life is on the line. 2 months ago my wife’s aunt, who was healthy and full of life, had a stroke and is battling for her recovery. Through these recent experiences, I’m reminded of this verse in the Bible:
James 4:13-14
13 Look here, you people who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” 14 How do you know what will happen tomorrow? For your life is like the morning fog — it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. (NLT)
I definitely believe in planning for the future, but also believe in living life to the fullest today! You’re not guaranteed tomorrow, but you have today, you have this moment! Now is the time to celebrate your life and those around you!
I think one of the worst things to live with is “regret”. I call regret “the silent killer”, because if you live with it, it eats you alive, quietly nibbling, sapping your energy with “should of, could of, would of”! The only way to keep regret far from you, is to face your fears, be like Nike, and “just do it!” Don’t allow regret to be a part of your future, live your Good Life Now! I pray you have innumerable “tomorrow’s”, but pray more that you live your life fully today!
God always deals with the present, the now: “today is the day of salvation”, “behold today I do a new thing” “choose you, this day”, when Moses asked God his name, He replied “I Am”, not ” I was”, or” I will be”, but ” I Am” meaning “presently,current, right now!”
Live, forgive, celebrate, do what you were created to do, TODAY! And if your heart is still beating tomorrow, do it all over again!
The secret to living an amazing life, is LIVING this moment of life, being fully present.
Why should you live your Good Life Now? Because you can!
